Cooking with Raddish Kids

When you have two young, aspiring chefs, quality time in the kitchen becomes a weekly occurrence. My kids look forward to helping me cook meals and taking virtual cooking classes, too. We were recently introduced to Raddish Kids and are officially sold! Raddish is a cooking club for kids with monthly culinary fun delivered to your doorstep. With so much time spent at home, we are welcoming all the fun, in-home options.
We got the chance to whip up not one, not two, but 3 Halloween themed dishes using Raddish Kids October spooky kitchen kit. It was a fun afternoon for the kids filled with lots of learning and tasty food. Our kit included 3 recipe cards, complete grocery list, a masher, creative kitchen project, table talk conversation cards, 3 culinary skill lessons, and an apron patch. I was impressed with how much value was packed in our small package. Plus, I’m all for anything that simplifies things for me, and this kit made it super easy to have a cooking lesson with the kids. I simply ordered groceries from Instacart, and we were all set from there.
What I loved most about our Raddish Kids kit is that the kids were able to follow so many of the steps themselves, while I supervised. The directions were clear and concise and included illustrations geared towards kids. What was supposed to simply be cooking, turned into fun games and a cool learning opportunity, too. The kit allows kids to practice math, reading, following directions and more. The best part is it’s fun, so it never felt like a boring class. The activity cards added to their enjoyment, which was a nice bonus.
Our food turned out great, and our favorite was the boo-nana bread. It was interesting because my kids are generally not fans of bananas but loved the banana bread, so we’ll definitely be making that more often. With Thanksgiving and Christmas right around the corner, I would highly recommend trying out Raddish Kids to enjoy some fun and festive holiday cooking with your kids.
