About Me
I’m a big dreamer with a big heart, and a big boisterous laugh when something is really funny. My personality is probably as unique as my name — part introvert, part extrovert, warm and witty. I live in my beloved home state of Maryland with my husband and our 4 amazing children, ranging from tweens to toddlers. I’m the proud owner of Shalyce Tyson Enterprises, which is a hub for everyday and professional women to grow, achieve goals and glow from the inside out. My mission is to create spaces and a community for glow getters to feel seen, motivated and celebrated, as they live their lives and pursue their dreams.
While a lot of what I share is inspirational, all of what I share is authentic. Life is beautiful, but not without challenges. Many days I’m balancing it ‘all’ like a boss, and other days I have no idea if I’m coming or going. I’m sure many of you can relate. With God, my village and inner black girl magic, I always figure it out. I aspire to live each day with intention, while pursuing the things I’m passionate about and feel led to do — even when it’s scary. Whether you’re connecting with me by way of my content, an event I’m hosting, somewhere I’m speaking or something else, I hope you adopt the glow getter mindset and mantra, just like I have.
I love opportunities to connect with and be in the company of inspiring women online and in real life. From being a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated to co-hosting meaningful events for women, I’m grateful for sisterhood and opportunities to use my gifts for good. A few of the things I love most in life are my family and friends, vacations, events, learning new things, laughter, music, good food, and text messages. I’m so excited for this season of my life, and look forward to sharing more of me with all of you in hopes to connect and inspire in a meaningful way.

I’ve opened this door to share more of me and the glow getter lifestyle, and to connect with other awesome women. On this journey, I share a variety of lifestyle content from my everyday and aha moments, to tips and recommendations, family fun, things I’m eyeing and buying, business resources and much more. Writing is my thing and sharing is caring, so the blog page and Instagram is where you’ll find most of my content.
Glow Gear is currently on a seasonal break and not restocking at this time. However, when the shop relaunches, you can snag comfy cute motivational apparel. As a former professional event planner, I’m excited to be hosting quarterly events for women alongside my good girlfriend, Maaden of Love, Maaden and Love Goods Co. Although this space is my namesake, it’s not all about me. My hope is that we inspire one another, and I intend to shine a light on other glow getters and the amazing things you’re doing.
