Target Cat & Jack Return Policy and Warranty

For all parents, who love Target, you’ll be happy to learn of Target’s Cat & Jack return policy and warranty. Just when I thought shopping at Target couldn’t get any better, it does!

You’re likely familiar with the popular Cat & Jack brand sold out at Target stores. What you might not be familiar with is the added benefit of purchasing this particular brand for your kids. Not only are the Cat & Jack items so cute, but they also have an amazing guarantee…a 1 year guarantee in fact. Get this…broken, worn and outgrown Cat & Jack items can be returned to Target within one year of purchase. Yes, you heard me correctly. So your kids Cat & Jack jeans that get holes in them at recess or your babies rompers that are now too small can all be returned for money back. I know this sounds too good to be true, but it’s in fact true friends. I recently put this to the test and got back $150.

This is too good not to share, so today’s post outlines the policy and my tips…

Tip 1: Save your receipt, if you can

For obvious reasons, having your receipt makes the return process go smoothly. The cashier can easily verify the previous purchase with this. Alternatively, if you used your Target RedCard, the cashier can look up the purchase with your card. However, even if you don’t have your receipt or if your Cat & Jack items were gifted, you can still return the items within 1 year of purchase. All you simply need is a government issued photo ID. How do I know this?! Well, when I went to return my items, some were purchased on my RedCard and others were gifted. I received $116 back on my RedCard, and around $35 on a merchandise card for the 3 items that were gifted. I literally don’t know of any other return policy this good.

Tip 2: Save your item tags, if you can

Note, saving the tags is not required. However, it would make the process go much smoother and quicker. The cashier would be able to quickly scan the tags, instead of having to look up the item number for each piece of clothing. Since I didn’t have my tags, my returns took about 7 minutes, which wasn’t that bad. However, if I had more items to return, it could’ve definitely taken a lot longer, which brings me to my next tip.

Tip 3: Do your returns every 3 - 6 months

Although the guarantee is good for a year, it makes more sense to return every 3-6 months in my opinion. This helps to avoid holding on to too small or damaged items too long. If something is no longer of use to you, let it go. This also helps to have room when your child moves up to the next size. For example, I returned all the twins 0-3 months Cat & Jack items since they are now wearing size 3-6 months. Now their drawers are only filled with items they can actually fit.

Tip 4: Use the return money to buy more Cat & Jack

I used my return money to buy formula, but in the future I’m definitely using it to buy more Cat & Jack items. I already loved the brand before since they have the cutest items. Now, I love it even more. It gives me the assurance that I have a quality brand to choose from for my kids clothing as they grow. Again, you simply can’t beat their return policy, plus the styles are cute and affordable. So win-win!
